I really want to stop motion animate some Lego stuff with the actual Lego Friends sets but the actual minidolls themselves don’t even have independent moving legs or turning hands which makes them super hard to do anything with. I love the minidolls, but they are not it when it comes to stop motion. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I used to make stop motion a lot, actually, when I was younger.
What I used to do was make them hop around but swing their arms if they needed to walked, to give a sort of illusion that everything was moving fluidly. I also would use their arms and heads to be expressive, found that sound effects was a good way to add more ‘movement’ and tried to use bikes/cars/boats etc if I wanted to move my characters place to place.
I took a lot of inspiration from ‘The Build Zone’ on LEGO’s official YouTube channel. They would do stop motion at the end of every episode. I’ll link one of the LEGO Friends one down below:
