Welcome to Heartlake City is the first episode of the LEGO Friends: Girls on a Mission (reboot) series.
Synopsis[]
The girls form a group of super-doers to serve and protect their beloved Heartlake City.
Plot (Spoilers)[]
Stephanie, Mia, Olivia, Emma and Dash are walking through ‘Old Town’, where they note it has gotten ridden with graffiti. Emma notes that she actually likes some of it, especially Prankzy’s work. Andrea bumps into them, saying that she’s starving and explaining that her boss Hazel had her working hard to re-organize weird stuff all day. She found a Japanese food truck named ‘Eelmobile’. Mia quickly saves an old man from a flower pot that fell off an old woman’s balcony, pulling him to the side. The friends congratulate her on a great save.
Suddenly, Joey’s pet chihuahua, Sherlock, accidentally falls on the controls of the bulldozer, causing it to drive off the construction site and down the street. The girls quickly formulate a plan, Andrea stopping traffic, Mia and Stephanie picking up two children crossing the road and moving them to safety and Emma saving Sherlock by catching him. Olivia uses physics to instruct Mia when to jump into the bulldozer to stop it before it runs over Steve and Diana. The crowd is extremely grateful, applauding the friends.
On the way to lunch, the girls decide they are going to be Heartlake City’s superheroes… but without any superpowers. At the diner, they are trying to decide on a name for their team which sounds like their ordering, frustrating the waiter, Dean.
Later on, Emma is working on her mural for the science building. Stephanie asks what they’ll be doing between big emergencies. They suggest that they’ll be doing good deeds, like rescuing cats from trees and helping old ladies. Andrea suggests they have a secret headquarters, but Olivia counters that before they have a hideout they should actually do the good deeds they’ve been speaking about.
Their first attempts aren’t received too well by the public. Mia and Stephanie are shouted at for blocking traffic to allow ducks to cross the road, whilst Stephanie and Andrea are pushing kids on swings Stephanie accidentally pushes hers off, which results in him shoving ice cream in her face, Olivia, Zobo and Emma manage to remove a small part of graffiti but there is a lot still there, Andrea gets pulled into a trash can by all the dogs she is walking, Stephanie drops several crates of fish she was moving, and Mia gets attacked by birds for almost putting the egg in the wrong nest. At the end of the day, they are all tired and bruised, Stephanie missed soccer practice and Olivia is behind on a science project which is due tomorrow.
They notice that Emma’s mural is being tagged by Prankzy, who finishes quickly and drives away on his motorbike. The girls quickly get on their vehicles, Mia on her skateboard, Emma and Olivia on her electric scooter, Stephanie on her bike, Andrea on her scooter and Zobo flying, and chase Prankzy across the city.

- Welcome to Heartlake City is the first, and so far only, episode to have an opening that is 1 minute and 44 seconds long. The rest of the episodes have an opening of 30 seconds.
- The person in charge of the girls' school is Principal Murray.
- While not in focus, the photo of Dottie Rae, George and her former friend can be seen in the background. This image becomes more significant in The Team.
- Although Olivia's mother Laura and Barney appear with the girls at the end of the intro they do not appear again.
